Some luxury hotels located inside large commercial complexes have designated pickup areas inside underground parking facilities or private vehicle loading zones. If this applies to your hotel, simply inform the hotel staff that you have arranged a private airport transfer, and they will direct you to the correct pickup location.

② Hotels, Airbnb, offices, apartments, and private residences along public roads

For accommodations located directly beside public roads, your driver will also arrive approximately 10 minutes before your scheduled pickup time and stop as close to the main entrance as traffic regulations safely allow.

Because Japanese parking regulations generally prohibit drivers from leaving their vehicle unattended on public roads, the driver usually cannot enter the hotel or building to meet you inside.

In busy city centers where roadside parking is limited, your driver may need to wait a short distance away. However, they will carefully watch for you leaving the building and will approach you as soon as they recognize you, so there is no need to worry if you do not immediately see the vehicle.

③ Locations where vehicles cannot safely stop

Some Airbnb properties, apartments, office buildings, and private residences are located on very narrow streets, one-way lanes, or roads where vehicles cannot safely stop for several minutes.

In these situations, our reservation staff will review the location before your travel date and select a nearby meeting point, such as a convenience store or another easy-to-find landmark.

The ideal departure time depends on which airport you are using, the location of your hotel, the time of day, and current traffic conditions.

Under normal traffic conditions, the journey from central Tokyo to Narita Airport is usually completed within about 70 minutes, while Haneda Airport can usually be reached within about 50 minutes. However, traffic conditions can change unexpectedly because of accidents, road construction, weather, or holiday congestion.

For this reason, when customers ask for our recommendation, we generally suggest leaving approximately 3½ hours before an international flight from Narita Airport and approximately 3 hours before an international flight from Haneda Airport.

These recommendations are intentionally conservative because we cannot guarantee road conditions or airline procedures on the day of travel. We believe it is always better to arrive at the airport early than to risk missing an international flight.
