Terms of Service – Tokyo Airporter

These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Tokyo Airporter.


1. Definitions and Interpretations

  • “Passenger” means the person who places a booking with Tokyo Airporter.

  • “Provider” means Tokyo Airporter.

  • “Service” means the transport service provided by the Provider, including airport and point-to-point transfers.

  • Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.


2. Booking and Contract

  • A booking is only valid once confirmed by the Provider (via email or other written confirmation).

  • By placing a booking, the Passenger accepts these Terms & Conditions.

  • The Provider reserves the right to revise these Terms at any time by posting updated terms on its website.


3. Service Provision

  • The Provider will supply services as described in the booking confirmation.

  • The Provider may use subcontractors to deliver services.

  • Vehicles are provided according to the booking request, subject to availability and legal passenger/luggage limits.

  • Special dates (e.g., Dec 30–Jan 3) may incur surcharges.


4. Cancellations and No-Shows

  • Free of charge: Cancellations made up to 4:00 PM (Japan time) the day before service.

  • 100% charge:

    • Cancellations after this deadline.

    • No-shows (e.g., for non-airport/seaport pickups, if the Passenger fails to appear within 15 minutes of the scheduled pickup time without notice).

    • If the pickup address or hotel name provided by the Passenger is incorrect, resulting in failed service.

  • Exceptions: No cancellation fee will be charged if the Passenger’s flight is cancelled or delayed for reasons beyond the Passenger’s control.


5. Additional Charges

  • Extra waiting time: After free allowance (15 minutes for non-airports; 90 minutes after landing for airports), additional charges apply.

  • Diversions, additional stops, or route changes requested by the Passenger may incur extra fees.

  • If, after departure, the Passenger requests a return to the pickup point (e.g., for forgotten items such as a smartphone or jacket), this will be treated as an additional service and charged accordingly.

  • If the Passenger leaves an item in the vehicle and requests delivery to a hotel or another location, the Provider will arrange this subject to additional charges including service fees.

  • Cleaning fees: If the vehicle interior is soiled by vomit, spilled drinks, food, or any prohibited items, the Passenger will be responsible for the cost of professional cleaning.


6. Liability

  • The Provider and its subcontractors are not liable for loss or damage to luggage. Passengers are responsible for ensuring proper loading/unloading of their belongings.

  • The Provider shall not be held liable for delays or failure of service due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to: extreme weather, traffic accidents, road closures, strikes, or natural disasters.

  • Except as required by law, the Provider shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses (e.g., missed flights, loss of profit).


7. Payment Terms

  • Full payment must be made at the time of booking, unless otherwise agreed.

  • All confirmed bookings are non-refundable unless cancelled within the free cancellation window (see Section 4).

  • Payments made by credit card may include processing fees.


8. Insurance

  • All vehicles are covered by mandatory motor vehicle insurance as required under Japanese law.

  • Passenger liability is limited to the extent covered by such insurance.

  • The Provider does not provide separate travel insurance; Passengers are encouraged to arrange their own personal travel insurance.


9. Privacy

  • Personal information provided by the Passenger will only be used for the purpose of providing the booked services.

  • Data may be stored securely for administrative and legal purposes but will not be shared with third parties except as required by law or necessary to perform the service.


10. Jurisdiction & Disputes

  • These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Japan.

  • Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Tokyo, Japan.
